ECRI Events

The European Credit Research Institute organises a variety of events for all stakeholders in Europe. We contribute to public discussion and exchange of views with our events. There are three types of meetings: 1. Workshops (Explorative discussion of new trends and research) 2. Seminars (Evaluation of ongoing trends) 3. Roundtable meetings (Exchange of experts views) Workshops tend to be more explorative in nature, seminars are more an evaluation of current trends and roundtables are meetings with only few speakers. In the past, our workshops have been visited by Members of the European Commission and Parliament, Ministries, professors, and industry and consumer association representatives.

On December 8th, CEPS and ECRI co-hosted a conference on the impact of a new capital regulation (CRDIV) and other regulations on diversity in the banking sector. Banks acted as a shock-absorber during the financial crisis.

Given the policy directions, the discussions focused largely on the largest component of retail credit, mortgages.
